All the News That's Print to Fit

Kotaku: Of all the thousands of gaming-news websites out there, I seem to have latched onto this one. For now.

Slashdot: "News for Nerds, Stuff That Matters." Good place to discuss tech news; a little past its prime, but I haven't found a decent replacement yet.

The Onion: Satire, often at its best. It's about the only news-related site that still makes me smile.

Blogroll

(with MySpace and LiveJournal and other such links littering this entry)

Apparently!: Apparently, it's written by my wife!

Chris and Kati: My little sister's blog.

Jackalope Pursuivant: I went to high school with this guy.

Life Amongst the Monahans: I went to college with Chelsea, albeit for one semester, and our families go way back.

Law School Blog Directory: A portal for law student blogging. Big list, to say the least.

Comics on the Interweb

Penny Arcade: Commentary on video games and the gaming industry. The comics range from funny to irreverent to just plain odd, and the newsposts are always worth reading.

VG Cats: More like video-game satire than video-game commentary. Newsposts are pretty much irrelevant but the comics are always top-notch.

CAD: Another gaming comic.

PvP: And another.

8-Bit Theater: Sprite-based fantasy RPG webcomic. Brian Clevinger writes some great dialogue and sight-gags. His newsposts lack the relevance (and refinement) of "Tycho" on PA, and I cannot recommend his book (his prose is horrid), but Mr. Clevinger writes some great comics.

Dominic Deegan: Long-running fantasy comic. Worth the time it takes to get caught up. d^_^b

Girl Genius: Like the caption says: adventure, romance, mad science! How can you lose?

Inverloch: Beautiful art, interesting story.

Megatokyo: Ultra-popular American-drawn manga. The story has gotten a lot less original since the founders went their separate ways, but the new direction is not without its charms.

White Ninja Comics: Delightfully bizarre. Seriously, this comic is weird.

The Perry Bible Fellowship: And this one makes White Ninja look perfectly sane.

Online Communities

ELotH:TES: The official wiki of Epic Legends of the Hierarchs: The Elemenstor Saga.

Fabletown: The official message board for Bill Willingham's creative masterpiece, Fables.

Powerful Birth: Childbirth at its best. Site is down for maintenance, though.

Past Linkage (Pages I Don't Really Frequent Right Now)

Wikipedia: I've been making a few minor contributions here and there. It seems like an interesting place.

Xevolution: Small, mostly-friendly community built around collecting and customizing Hasbro's all-too-short-lived Xevoz action figure line.
