The funny thing about resumés is that everyone seems to want them, but nobody agrees on how they ought to be done. Consequently I have chosen to assemble as much relevant information as possible into one place, categorize it, and let you click on the links that interest you the most. This resumé primarily exists to provide a little background for people interested in how much authority I have to make the claims I make on various subjects.
If you want a more general statement of introduction, I suppose this is as good a place as any. I have an undergraduate degree in philosophy, which is still my favorite subject. I worked in Information Technology for about nine years. I've managed teams of support personnel. I've also sold, supported, and fixed computers in residential, academic, and corporate environments. I've picked up a few certifications where it was necessary to perform my duties, but my certifications by no means reflect the full extent of my exposure to various technologies (for example, I do very basic web design in HTML, CSS, and even a smidgen of Flash, I'm reasonably handy with Photoshop, and I run Linux on my desktop).
As much for a change of pace as anything, I also graduated from law school. My interests are varied; I enjoy jurisprudence, copyright law, and First Amendment law, and I also have an interest in family law. But I most consistently succeeded in courses requiring original research and writing. So I'm educated, I'm organized, I have a knack for information handling, and I'm a good writer.
At present I'm contemplating a PhD in philosophy and serving as general counsel for an IP holdings company. But if you've got a project you'd like me on, feel free to make an offer.
