Apropos of my previous post, two stories about my weird, wonderful children.
Huge announcement time! My wife Aprilynne just sold World English rights to a four-book Young Adult series to Tara Weikum at Harper Children's, in a significant deal, in a pre-empt, through her agent Jodi Reamer at Writers House. Her book will hit the bookstores (in hardcover!) in the summer of 2009.
While browsing a classmate's blog the other day, I came across this somewhat dated piece. It is longish (as web posts go!) but well worth a read, or a re-read if you encountered it two years ago when it first appeared. The topic of marriage and family is one on which I meditate frequently; if I do not discuss it more often, it is only because I too often do not know what to say.
Today, Mychael Darthard-Dawodu became the most recent newborn kidnapped from a hospital by someone posing as a nurse.
I've been thinking a lot lately about my resumé. I still don't have a solid summertime commitment, so this last week I took part in "On Campus Interviews," an event organized by my law school's career center. The goal is to land a paid summer internship, though I would work for free if I could find a legal internship with an ideal company (think Marvel Entertainment, Tor Book, Nintendo).
Bear with me, I'm going to make a big list of links to a lot of people, including family, friends, acquaintances, and even a few people who probably don't remember me. There is a point to this discussion, which will come later and which I will mark for your convenience if you want to skip the inane listing. Also, do not click the links unless you are really curious. Some of these MySpace pages have so much junk on them your computer will absolutely choke.
Inane listing begins.
So it turns out that everyone uses MySpace.
